We celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd every year and this year, will mark the 50th anniversary.
Earth Day 2020 Theme
The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. The enormous challenges we face on climate change have promoted this issue to probably the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary.
Now I’m no “lets-hug-a-tree” person, not by any stretch of the imagination, but it is important to be aware of our impact on the environment and climate change.
Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable.
Alternative Fuels
At Ambience FIRES & SOLAR we try and do our bit by offering customers alternatives to fossil fuel heating. This also includes electricity generated by coal and oil-fired power stations.
Wood stoves and pellet burners are carbon neutral provided the wood comes from a managed source. This is where we replant trees to replace what is cut down.
Our compact Solar Water Heaters only use electricity on days when the sun doesn’t shine. Otherwise you get free hot water powered by the sun all year round.
